Hueco Tanks

Today I leave with the setting crew from Movement Climbing and Fitness for a 5 day trip to Hueco Tanks. I haven’t been in a few years. From 2003-2009 I traveled to Hueco at least once a year, and I have spent more than 4 months of my life there. It is a very special place for me, and some of my best climbing moments have happened in the dark and complex corridors of this incredible area. It is some of the best bouldering in America and returning is like seeing an old friend again. I look forward to the peaceful desert setting, the stoic red rocks, the gorgeous west Texas sunsets, and of course to trying some of the most classic problems in the world. My number one climbing objective is The Feather, a beautiful and singular line at the top of West Mountain. I’d like to try and tick as many guidebook 3 and 4 star problems as possible, and this is one of the best one still not on my list. I will have photos and video to update upon my return!
