Just as things began to dry out here in Colorado, we got a fresh 10 inches or so of new snow, and all of the the areas where I am interested in climbing are buried, again. I am mostly interested in getting back to Red Feather, Newlin Creek, and most excitingly I have discovered a potential new cluster of sandstone boulders in an obscure canyon in southern Colorado. As it looks like things will warm up this week, I hope to get down there soon and scope things out. Here are some of the climbs at the top of a list I made a while back of some climbs I would like to repeat before it gets too warm.

William Shatner, Newlin Creek
Daddy Fat Sacks, Ute Pass
Both Sides of the Spectrum, RMNP
Black Swan, Poudre Canyon
King of Town, Black Hills
Midnight Express, Boulder Canyon

and of course projects

The Dracula Project, Red Feather
The Milkman Arete Project, Red Feather
The Project to the left of the Nickness, Newlin Creek
The Parvin Project, Red Feather
The Nerf Dyno Project, Poudre Canyon

until then, I will be hitting the campus board hard.

    Both Sides Update:

Herm cleaned the top off, 20+ inches of packed snow, but he said that the sloper had a sheet of ice on it. If you have a torch he said it would go. I’m heading out there today to see what it looks like as well as Veritas, and Emerald again…

Thanks for the beta Glassberg but please don’t use a blow torch! I think that can have a very negative effect on the rock, as evidenced by fire scarring. I would hate to see that problem damaged. Capps has a battery powered blower used to dry off wet rocks.

Oops, didn’t realize you answerd those ?’s with the link before I posted. Is the line left of Nickness the one that joins Nickness halfway through. Was looking at that 3 weeks or so ago and wondering if it had been climbed.

Yes starts on sharp jug and heads right through that terrible sloper. Very hard I think.

jamie on a more serious note….is it true that the dyno on circadian was done as its own problem before the whole problem was put up. if so do you know what they called it or how hard it was.
