With two day to climb before Vail, I thought it to be appropriate to spend one day at Evans, one day at the Park. The initial plan was to head up to Emerald Lake, but Ryan Olson and I decided to do some exploring near the Storm Pass Trail. Exploration is such a wonderful element of climbing. The excitement of finding something new, the time spent hiking around the woods with good friends, the process of cleaning and climbing new problems makes it a worthwhile endeavor. We visited some old problems and put up some new ones.

This is on old problem put up by Ken Kenny, called the Derailer V9.

Ryan and I tried several lines, none of which where amazing. Ryan did however put up this tall slab with a flat landing. A committing move leads to the top. I finished the day by flashing a V9 put up by Brian Camp called American Human Being.
